Vince and Brianna's Tannery Barn Wedding

April 7th, 2024

When we visited Vince and Brianna, we discovered that they they are a sweet couple who have a love for their cat, Brian, and a passion for fantasy fiction. Their wedding had several accents to these loves. They took inspiration from the greatest fantasy story of all time, The Lord of the Rings, and also the most popular fantasy role-playing video game of all time, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

The Tannery Barn offered the rustic look that would compliment such themes without going all the way with a castle, swords, armor, and medieval garb.

The day was serviced by these fantastic vendors, so if you are in the market, please give them a look:

Bridal Prep

First thing is first, Lauran Abagale Bridal had the task of revealing Brianna's inner elvish princess with the hair and makeup.

Finishing touches

Bridal Portraits

With her hair and makeup done, she got in her dress and we spend time around the venue getting some shots of the bride and her bridesmaids. We wanted to take this opportunity to incorporate this fantasy theme into our photos. Elves are bright and elegant so that's what we aimed to capture.

The bride's veil was a long flowing cape and her hair was adorned with flowers, giving her an elven look.
The Tannery Barn has a spiral staircase that goes from the Ceremony/Reception space to the Cocktail hour space.
Here she is at the ceremony space for Bridal portraits.
The bridespeople helped participate by holding out her veil while we got some through-the-veil shots.

Groom Prep

Ceremony Space

The dreamy lighting and ambiance of the Tannery Barn highlighted the lovely wood chairs, aisle decorations, and arbor florals. Flowers By Wendy Carol put a lot of care into this scene.

A truly fairytale wedding aisle

The Ceremony

As the bride came down the aisle, a soundtrack from Lord the of Rings played. For the recessional, they chose an instrumental version of the Dragonborn theme from Skyrim.

That smile as she comes down the aisle.

The beginning of their happily ever after.

The Portrait Session

Just going to let these pictures speak for themselves.

Sunset golden hour portraits are so dreamy

They also had a wheat field in the back that made for a lovely backdrop.

The Reception

They also included several details into their reception that helped make their fairytale day come true.

Ashley's Sweet Beginnings Bakery made this glorious, forest-decorated cake

Love the warmth these table settings added

Another Fantasy genre element they included in their wedding day was the Skyrim faction emblems into the table numbers.

The cutting of the cake. It must have tasted good because the slice disappeared fast!

Then it was time to dance!

and the groommen were ready

Once again we had the privilege of hearing the Bachelor Boys Band perform at a wedding. This band is fantastic!

This wedding truly was the stuff of elves, magic, princes and princesses, and epic adventures.
